Meet Meat #1

Which meat do you fancy? Beef&Pork
Each meat has different properties and tickle a different part of your taste buds. On a scale of what fills you more, beef and pork top the list. Since the animal is big by itself, the meat they produce is more filling. So in cooking, you need to make sure the meat is very tender, you don't want a big thick steak that is hard to chew. Marinating beef and pork for an extensive period of time give the best results. Beef has a more a more rougher taste than pork. Beef has to be seasoned or marinated in high dose of spice to get a good taste, otherwise it is just plain bland. Pork on the other hand is a bit more sweeter than beef. Never over season or do too much too pork or it will lose its taste ad just taste like plain seasoning. Yet one main difference between the two is that beef dries out quicker than pork. Cooked beef has to be eaten right away or it will lose its taste, the meat will toughen up and will be very hard. Pork on the other hand can stay out for a while and still be enjoyed with all it's flavors still mixed in. Beef and Pork and heavy, so tenderize and only eat in portions.

What really is a GYRO?

I've heard Guy-Row, You-Row, or even Goo-Row as the pronunciation of the gyro wrap. It's pronounced Eu-Ro, like the beginning of Europe. People are always wanting to try the "gyro place" yet don't usually know what to expect. Mostly they think it's some exotic food that comes from the middle east or western Europe. Gyro originated around the Greece area, it usually was a item that was used as a heavy snack, something that's easy to put together but heavy on the stomach. To make a gyro, each ingredient is cut long and slender to fit inside the bread, this way, every bite you take has all the flavors instead of a few sparks here and there. The meat you put can be anything from chicken to pork to lamb, the most famous is lamb. Added with the right spices and vegetables, the gyro can fill you up within a matter of minutes with no dissatisfaction.

Introduction

This is the first of, hopefully, many to come posts about food, restaurants, and just general knowledge about what you eat. There are many food places in this world but not all are looked at. Most people just look at a place and walk by or say "that looks good, I want to go there one day", but they never do. People usually have a set routine and don't like shifting away from it. Every food place deserves a chance, whether it be a big name company or a down the street mom & pop restaurant. As a general rule, I don't go to a place and eat one thing and judge it. I like to try at least three different items over a span of time because it maybe that the food is not the best it could have been that day.

So, my suggestion to you is to go out there and try something new today!
